‘For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.’
As my 12 Days of Christmas Series comes to a close it seems only fitting to re-focus on the most important reason for this season – Jesus’ birth. In the decorating and baking rush of it all, I find that I’m in even greater need of quiet time in The Word and connecting with those I love the most.
It’s Day 11 in my 12 Days of Christmas Series, and I’m talking last minute gifts. I’m sorry to remind you, but the countdown has begun. There are only 10 days left until Christmas!
I’m honestly not a procrastinator (normally), but I’m finding myself making the list and checking it twice during the last few days leading up to Christmas. Please tell me you are with me, and I’m not alone!
There’s nothing more special and thoughtful than a homemade gift! Nothing. So I’m sharing three gifts they are sure to love! And the best part, they take 15 minutes max. If you are short on time but big on heart, I have you covered. Not to worry.
Gift #1: this amazing wrap bracelet.
It’s Day 10 in my 12 Days of Christmas Series, and I’ve saved you a special seat at the table! I can smell the ham baking and mashed potatoes well underway. And my mouth is already watering for my favorite coconut pie. What’s on your menu for this special gathering?
Come on in! It’s cold outside, but I’m serving up spiced tea and great conversation on Day 9 in my 12 Days of Christmas Series.
I am one serious tea drinker. Hot…cold…it doesn’t really matter. There’s something so comforting about sitting down with a cup of tea, especially when it includes sharing the time with a good friend.
It’s Day 8 in my 12 Days of Christmas Series, and baby it’s cold outside! I’ve been indoors baking, crafting, and decorating, but not anymore. Put your hat and gloves on and join me outside for a look at our Christmas decorations.
Once again my amazing friend Laura has joined me to host this post, and I’m also giddy to show you the amazing outdoor decorations from my in-loves (also referred to as my in-laws) home. Let’s take a look around.
Laura’s entrance is striking! I absolutely love this garland outlining the entrance, and the front door wreath Laura created is fabulous. This little guy makes me so happy, and yes, that’s a real paper chain. How does she do it! Whimsical, and just perfect.
It’s Day 7 of my 12 Days of Christmas Series, and I’m enjoying my very favorite Christmas cookie as I type away at this post. Chocolate (three ways) and mint. Now really, can you think of a better combination?
It’s Day 6 of my 12 Days of Christmas Series, and I’m singing ‘I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart…!’ How I love this time of year. It’s official. A spirit of JOY is what’s on our hearts and minds in this house throughout the Christmas season.
It’s Day 5 of my 12 Days of Christmas Series, and I’m creating homemade gifts for friends and co-workers. I love a thoughtful, homemade gift! Don’t you? The idea that someone has me in mind, and spends time creating just for me is such a blessing. And, even more, I LOVE, LOVE giving homemade gifts. My guide is, if I would like to receive it, it’s probably a good idea to gift it to someone else.
So today I’m sharing two homemade gifts with you that can be made in 20 minutes or less. Here goes.
Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce. 20 mins preparation.
It’s Day 4 in the 12 Days of Christmas Series, and I’m pretty much ready to open presents! I love wrapping gifts while Christmas songs are playing and my coffee is nearby! That’s the perfect afternoon as far as I’m concerned. My favorite songs are Silent Night and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause, what about you?
It’s Day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas Series, and today I’m sharing one of my favorite projects. If you’ve been reading my blog for long you know I love letters! I knew I wanted a Christmas piece with the word JOY, and my sister in law, who is ridiculously creative and efficient, helped me with this project. We had a blast, and each time I look at this piece I recall how much I loved crafting with her.
